Wisdom of the House of Night Oracle Cards

Wisdom of the House of Night Oracle Cards
by: P.C. Cast and Colette Baron-Reid
50 Cards

This oracle deck is inspired by the House of Night book series by P.C. Cast, a highly popular collection of young adult fantasy novels. Although I haven’t read the series yet (but I think I will now), I’ve heard about this oracle deck from several people, as it combines two of my interests: YA fiction and spirituality.

The deck is quite large and made of thick card stock with a heavy lamination, making it easy for me to get jumpers while shuffling. It comes in a sturdy, pull-top box and includes a very detailed guidebook that enhances each card’s message. The artwork and messages are truly stunning.

Widsome of the House of Night - 3 cards: Fragment, Summon, and Conclusion.

Each card in the deck is accompanied by a thorough description and meaning in the guidebook.

For instance, Card #13, “Summon,” states: “When you select this card, it signifies the need to create a ritual and connect with your spirituality. Engage with your inner magic before taking any steps forward.”

This primary message is further enriched with additional details, offering reflective questions that encourage you to discover your own personal interpretation.

The imagery on the cards is stunningly beautiful and highly imaginative. I suspect that each image is connected to something from the series, which makes me even more eager to read the books.

I find this oracle deck versatile enough to use in any situation, and I love having that flexibility. It always adds a powerful element to any reading. I usually draw one or two cards to complement a tarot spread.

3 Cards from the Wisdom of the House of Night of: Invisible, Oath, and Trapped.
3 Cards from the WIsdom of the House of Night of: Obedience, Love, and The Warrior.

I also love using this deck for daily personal readings. The messages are written in the first person, which makes them feel uniquely personal and directly meant for you. This approach enhances the sense of connection and conviction, making each reading feel more intimate and resonant. I find this deck to be a powerful tool for deepening one’s spirituality, as it encourages introspection and self-reflection, reinforcing a personal spiritual journey. It’s an excellent deck for solo use, providing guidance and support as you explore your inner world.
