My interpretation:

The love is there, but not the dedication. The Two of Pentacles and the King of Pentacles reversed are very similar. They suggest someone who just doesn’t have the time for romance nor the focus. Your person has a lot on their plate and isn’t really focused on your past relationship to what needs to be done to repair it. They do love you, but this person is focused on other things in his or her life and isn’t making you a priority right now. When they think of you, it’s all good thoughts. They want you in their lives, but they don’t want to give up their independence or too much of their time and energy. It’s not you, it’s them. Right now, they are self-absorbed, and you could do much better. While this person feels that they love you, it’s not deep. It’s more like puppy love as suggested by the Page of Pentacles.
