Classic Tarot Review
Classic Tarot
by: Kledery
I found this deck on Amazon, and it’s designed specifically for beginners. It features the classic Rider-Waite imagery set against a black frame, with the images appearing as smaller insets. The cards are made from thick card stock, making them quite sturdy and durable, although they can be a bit challenging to shuffle.
The deck comes in a simple paper box and includes a guidebook along with a carrying pouch, which I discarded some time ago.
Each card in this deck features a smaller version of the original image set against a dark background, leaving space for the meanings at the top and bottom. There is a brief description for both the upright and reversed interpretations. On the left side of the card, you’ll find the associated zodiac elements and signs, while the right side lists key terms and phrases relevant to the card’s meaning.
This deck is perfect for beginners and also helps those you’re reading for to explore their own interpretations.
When a card is reversed, the reversed meaning is clearly displayed at the bottom for easy reading.
If you know someone interested in learning tarot, this deck would make a wonderful gift, especially when paired with your favorite tarot guide. Giving the gift of tarot is like offering the potential for spiritual growth. The recipient has the choice to embrace it or not, but in doing so, they’re holding the Ace of Pentacles—an incredible opportunity to explore a whole new world if they wish to.
I might be getting a bit sentimental, but that’s how I feel!
I’ve used these cards quite a bit, and you can see the wear around the edges. There’s nothing quite like a bit of wear and tear to show just how cherished a tarot deck is!
It’s a fantastic deck to own and makes a wonderful gift, too.
