Gold Foil Tarot (Gold) Review

Gold Foil Tarot (Gold)
by: Kiino

This was one of the first decks I ever owned, and the wear on the box shows how much it’s been loved—just wait until you see the cards.

It’s a large, tarot-sized deck that comes in a durable, hard box with a magnetic closure. The cards are heavily laminated and on the thinner side, which can cause the edges to curl slightly from frequent shuffling. The deck also includes extra branding cards and a guidebook.

This deck features the classic Rider-Waite imagery set against a striking gold metallic background. The illustrations are framed like a window, with a ribbon beneath displaying the card name.

It’s a stunning deck and shuffles with ease. However, the edges do tend to show wear and tear rather quickly.

I also have this Gold Foil Tarot deck in rose.

These cards are definitely show-stoppers and add a touch of elegance to any reading. They’re even more impressive in person—photos don’t quite capture their true beauty. The shiny finish makes them tricky to photograph, especially with my limited skills.

One thing to note: the cards can occasionally stick together, so it’s a good idea to go through the deck and separate them individually before starting a reading.

Overall, this is a stunning addition to any tarot card collection. Despite the visible signs of wear and the occasional snag during shuffling due to the rough edges, this deck remains a favorite of mine. There’s something about the way these cards feel in my hands that makes every reading special. The elegance of the design and the connection I have with this deck make it a cherished part of my practice, even with its imperfections.
